Postal Inspector General audit reveals delays and damage to USVI mail


"...The Delegate asked the Inspector General to look into the following complaints: The extraordinary length of time for packages or periodicals to reach St Thomas and St Croix; Priority mail regularly taking more than a week to get to the islands; mail and packages damaged or not delivered; lack of communication between the Postal Service and US Customs and Border Protection; Inadequate staffing levels in the USVI; and inadequate delivery service standards for the USVI...."
